Privacy

The short version

We collect what you type into one of the three forms and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. There is no advertising on this site and there are no third-party trackers on it.

What we collect

When you submit a form, we store the answers you gave. Depending on which form, that is:

• Your name and email address, and your phone number if you gave one.
• Your organization and your city and county.
• Your answers to that form’s questions: how you would invest, what you are building, or how you can help.
• The page you submitted from and your browser’s user agent string, kept so we can tell a real submission from a scripted one.

What we refuse to collect

No Social Security numbers. No account numbers. No accreditation documents. No financial statements. The forms do not ask for any of it and the database is not built to hold it.

If you send one of those anyway, we will delete it and tell you we have.

Where it goes

Submissions are written to a single table in a Supabase database. Access to that table is restricted at the database level: the key published in this site’s source code can add a row and can do nothing else. It cannot read a row, including your own, once it has been submitted.

When a submission arrives, it is emailed to the person who runs Georgia Angels, and a short version is sent to their phone as a text message so that a form is not left sitting for a fortnight. That text travels over an ordinary carrier gateway and is not encrypted end to end, which is why it carries a name and a category and never the substance of what you wrote.

Who reads it

The people running Georgia Angels, and the service providers that host the database and send the mail. Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, or trade what you submit.

We will disclose information if a law or a valid legal order requires it, and we will tell you when we are permitted to.

How long we keep it

For as long as the conversation you started is live, and for a reasonable period after, so we know who we have already spoken to. If you would like your submission deleted, write to hello@georgiaangels.com and it will be deleted, along with any copy of it we hold, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no session recording. Where we measure traffic, we use a privacy-preserving analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other sites. We count four things: page views, and whether each of the three forms was completed.

The admin page at /admin sets a session cookie, but only for the person signing into it, and it is not part of the public site.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@georgiaangels.com and a person will answer. You do not need to cite a statute and we will not ask which one you are relying on.

Children

This site is meant for adults doing business. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes to how we handle what you already submitted will be sent to the address you gave us.
